The Oceanographer (2018)

A collaboration with Violeta M. Valcheva and Fanis Sakellariou.

A visual/physical theatre piece, based loosely on Freud’s theories of psychoanalysis and Jung’s archetypes.

A man’s unconscious world is portrayed as a dive into an ocean, reaching deeper into his core as the piece progresses. The man’s emotional and psychological traits and flaws take the form of distorted sea creatures, guiding him into a journey towards the deconstruction and reconstruction of his identity and, finally, self-fulfilment.
